That Song Reminds Me Of...

Am I the only one who busts out laughing randomly when a song comes on, cause it brings back memories?? I DO THAT ALOT! SO...
I put my iPod on shuffle and let it play, and let the stories in my head play LOL
 good times :)

Usher Ft. Pitbull - DJ Got Us Fallin In Love : Reminds me of Saul, "Prance, Prance like its the last night of your life, life!" HAHAHAHA!!!!

Common Ft. Kanye West - Go : Reminds me of when my brother showed me his favorite rappers all in one day.. it took the WHOLE DAY.  We went from west coast, to the south, to the east coast rappers! HAHA

Christina Aguilera - Not Myself Tonight : Reminds me of Zavier. He showed me this video in Economics and corrupted my mind (O.o)

DJ Khaled - All I Do Is Win: Reminds me of SO MANY FUN TIMES! First, when I was at the gym, this song came on my iPod... and I started running FASTER AND FASTER!! THE GUY NEXT TO ME WAS LOOKING AT ME WEIRD! LIKE, "Dang, this little girl is hardcore!" LMFAO. Second; It reminds me of the fun times at Club Pure :)

Shinedown - Second Chance : Reminds me of my little brother and our music videos. HAHA. I would sing lead and he was the headbangin guitarist! YUH!

Alicia Keys- Any song from her album "Songs in A Minor" reminds me of my big brother, cause he was IN LOVE WITH HER!!!

The Script - Breakeven : Reminds me Estefy, this girl is obsessed with The Script  " I'm going to that fxcking concert, even if it kills me!!"

Trey Songz - Neighbors Know My Name: Reminds me of my cousin Vanessa, "SCREAMIN, SCRATCHIN, YELLIN! " >> Long Story! lmfao.

Usher- OMG : Reminds me of Karim!!! <3

Alicia Keys - Unthinkable : Reminds me of my cousin Erica. I have no reason for this, LOL! It just does!

N'Sync - Gone : Reminds me of my best friend from elementary school, Selena. WE WERE OBSESSED!!

Colby O'Donis Ft. Akon - What You Got : Reminds me of the summer before my Jr. year, when I was living with my mom in Duncanville LOL. MTVTres was my channel!

Trisha Yearwood - How Do I Live : Reminds me of my parents, my mom would sing this to my dad :') Even though he didn't understand a word, he'd still smile. I miss that...

The Greatest Artist of All TIME!!

SO.
They did it again, Vh1 made another "countdown" show for me to get hooked on to.
I, thank you, Vh1 for not allowing me to hit the gym. -_-

So they complied a list that today's artist voted for the greatest artists of all time. The list was actually to 100 but I only payed attention to the top 20, and they are as follows:

  1. The Beatles
  2. Michael Jackson
  3. Led Zeppelin
  4. Rolling Stones
  5. Bob Dylan
  6. Jimi Hendrix
  7. Prince
  8. Elvis Presley
  9. James Brown
  10. Stevie Wonder
  11. Bob Marley
  12. David Bowie
  13. The Who
  14. Nirvana
  15. The Beach Boys
  16. Madonna
  17. Queen
  18. Pink Floyd
  19. U2
  20. Marvin Gaye
Personally, I have mad love for all of these artists chosen! They pretty much dominate my iPod!
If had only had to listen to 20 artists for the rest of my life, and these were the 20... I WOULD BE SATISFIED!

Labor Day Weekend, YAY!

Labor Day Weekend Mission:
  1. Bring back my TV
  2. Chill with my brother
  3. Pet my cat Bandit.
  4. VISIT ISABELLA!

Upon arriving Friday evening, all I could think about is seeing my cousin Jasmine's new baby x)
ISABELLA GRACE.
I had only seen pictures since I wasn't in town but I could just imagine how cute she was..
and as soon as I saw her, I was certain of how perfect she was.

Napping on Mommy :)

Napping with her blanket I made :)

LOOK AT HER SLIPPERS x)

So after sleeping over Jasmine's to visit BellaBear and watch some chick flicks, we had ourselves a PACHANGA to get to LMAO. My big cousin Liz turned 21!! OMG.. I feel old! I'm turning 19 soon, GEEZ! Anywho, it was about to go dowwnn at my uncles house. I'm pretty sure, my previous blogs can further explain how my family throws a party.  AYE.

So I'm dancing with my cousin's.. (who I thought were still in Middle School but are actually Jr's and Sr's in High School) and I realize how old I am. I don't consider myself grown, but I'm now a young adult, and it feels so weird saying that, cause I still sit on my mom's lap x) and I'm over here slow dancing with my mom like if I'm 6 years old again and she's my hero all over again, and it hit me.. I'm not a little girl anymore...

they only think they're cool. LOL.

OMG. I've had some adventures with these two.. SMH. Spending the summer with grandma on her front porch trying to hustle the neighborhood kids for some jewelry was the thing back in our day HAHA. Hustling is just in our blood. LMAO.
probably the best birthday cake evar!!

B Day Girl and the boys.

Happy 21st B-Day Liz !
ALL IN ALL. ADORABLE BABY. GREAT PARTY.
GREEAAT VISIT!!

Man, I love college.

"I'm an insomniac, It's what I am. I eat whatever, turkey bacon, or ham. I'm an insomnia it's in my head. I'm an insomniac, empty defines my bed."
Yea, that was random.. I didn't make it up. lol. this guy did, Karim LMAO

So!!!! I haven't blogged in over a week. Well that's just cause I'm in college... and I actually have things to do now. Kinda different from high school lol. I LOVE IT THO. I'm so happy here, I love my roomies and my apartment, the only thing that I complain about is how expensive everything is (duh) and my upstairs neighbors -_-  The guys upstairs are ALWAYS stomping around like over-grown gorillas.

Since I can't and don't want to sit here and tell everything I did. I do have pictures however lol.

All packed up :D

The movie I was watching on the way to S.A.

At the Rec, in the plex-glass court (I'm not in this picture)

At the Rec, by the pool eating free pizza. :D
My room.

Walking around campus at night.

Watching the guys play ;)

Driving around

Sooo much has happend my first week of college. I'm on the hunt for a job and getting adjusted to the classes and such. The walking is crazy, so as soon as I go home for Labor Day weekend, I will come back with a bike!! lol I'm gonna continue to take pictures throughout the year :) I think pictures are better than words anyway..

Katy (Perry) Hudson

So I kept hearing that Katy Perry was a Christian Artist before she became what she is today, so I was curious and did what anyone else would do... I YouTubed it haha! And I found this video and other songs that she recorded. Honestly I found it hard to believe that she sang Christian sing cause of how she puts herself out there. She went from "praise the lord" to "i kissed a girl". LMAO!!!!

Tiffany the Hooters Virgin

IT TOOK US THE WHOLE SUMMER.... but we (my fools from Government class Senior year) and I finally got it together and met up at Hooters.. and Tiffany** had never been to Hooters before. So we took advantage of this Hooters Virgin ;) We wanted to show her the perfection of Hooters wings and burgers xD

**Name has been changed to prevent embarrassment. ;)

On the search for "Tiffany"
Now "Tiffany" hadn't been to Hooters.. and by her driving... she  may have not been to Dallas before xD She some how......(lord bless her) some how ended up on the OTHER side of downtown. Well according to her, she was completely lost and she was about to head home out of frustration. So we get on the phone with her and ask her where she is, and since me and Zavier and Alfredo are such good friends. We go get her.....

TELL ME WHY WE FIND THIS CHICK THREE..1.. 2..3.. THREE BLOCKS FROM HOOTERS... Apparently she missed it the huge H00TERS sign and drove right past us xD MAN, WE GOT A GREEAAAT LAUGH. She begged me to change her name since this was soooo blog-worthy lol.
So after i finished LMFAO we got our seats and started grubbin, and talking about High School and things we miss.. (which isn't much) and then PROM came up.. Let me say, we all had some crazy stories to tell, about after parties, where we ended up and how exactly we got home. HAHA. I loved my prom.. oh and the actual dance was fun too. ;)

Next Hooters Meeting: WINTER BREAK!
Zavier doing the face -->  O.o
LOVE
YALL!

UNTIL NEXT TIME <3

Lizzie McGuire got Married!

I was watching E! News and one of the stories was that Hilary Duff recently got married!!
Now this is a bit strange cause, I grew up watching her on Lizzie McGuire so it's weird thinking, she's at the age to get married now! From the looks of it, it was oh-so fancy!

She married some hockey player named Mike Comrie.

I was a HUGE fan of her show! I miss shows like this one!

UTSA Orientation

Sunday through Tuesday was Freshman Orientation for UTSA.
I invited my mom since she loves San Antonio so much; and let me say... I know women talk a lot, but DANGGGG! THIS WOMAN NEVER STOPS!

On your way up there I was dying cause all she talked about was work and her future plans for apartments and junk. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy hearing about her stories at work but, for 4 hours... it was driving me insane. THANK GOD IPODS WERE INVENTED!

So, throughout the trip my mom had random bursts of "blond moments" which made me LMFAO!
I've complied a list of things my mom said on our trip:
  • As we were approaching Waco, she blurted "Hey look we're on Wack-o"
  • "I'm craving a beer. OMG! I'm an addicted alcoholic addict!"
  • While trying explain how to do her country accent she said, "It's a complex tongue and throat action, not everyone is gifted!"
  • "We need to find a park with shady space" instead of  "shady parking space"
  • "Jackie, you don't need a boyfriend..... You need 3!!"
  • "Do these jeans make me look like a mom?"
  • "Oh, I need to put my glasses on, I see a sexy figure coming this way"
  • "Oh lord, it's hot! I'm having a flashlight!" instead of "hot flash"  <---- this one had me rollin' hahaha
... my mom's kinda silly. lol. OH! AND I LEARNED HOW TO CHANGE A FLAT! On our way home, our tire gave out on us somewhere near Austin and my mom told me, EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW HOW TO CHANGE A FLAT! HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO LEARN. NOW LEARN!
and it took a while but we got it. =D

I also, didn't take any pictures cause I was so busy and I forgot! This is the only one I got, I thought it was beautiful :)

Wyclef Runs for Haiti Prez

THAT'S RIGHT.
WYCLEF JEAN IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT OF HAITI.
He even has a record called, "If I was President"  crazy huh...

This is STRAIGHT from Time.com
Hip-hop music, more than most pop genres, is something of a pulpit, urban fire and brimstone garbed in baggy pants and backward caps. So it's little wonder that one of the form's icons, Haitian-American superstar Wyclef Jean, is the son of a Nazarene preacher — or that he likens himself, as a child of the Haitian diaspora, to a modern-day Moses, destined to return and lead his people out of bondage. Haiti's Jan. 12 earthquake, which killed more than 200,000 people, was the biblical event that sealed his calling. After days of helping ferry mangled Haitian corpses to morgues, Jean felt as if he'd "finished the journey from my basket in the bulrushes to standing in front of the burning bush," he told me this week. "I knew I'd have to take the next step."

That would be running for President of Haiti. Jean told TIME he is going to announce his candidacy for the Nov. 28 election just days before the Aug. 7 deadline. One plan, loaded with as much Mosaic symbolism as a news cycle can hold, called for him to declare his presidential bid on Aug. 5 upon arriving in Port-au-Prince from New York, where he grew up after leaving Haiti with his family at age 9. "If not for the earthquake, I probably would have waited another 10 years before doing this," says Jean, who is only 37. "The quake drove home to me that Haiti can't wait another 10 years for us to bring it into the 21st century." Jean sees no contradiction between his life as an artist and his ambitions as a politician. "If I can't take five years out to serve my country as President," he argues, "then everything I've been singing about, like equal rights, doesn't mean anything." Watch TIME's video of Wyclef Jean talking about him running for president.
It's tempting to dismiss this as flaky performance art, a publicity stunt from the same guy who just a few years ago recorded a number called "If I Was President." But Jean's chances, as well as his motives, seem solid. And there are good reasons for Haitians — and the U.S.-led international donor community, which is bankrolling Haiti's long slog to the 21st century — to take this particular hip-hop politician seriously. Pop-culture celebrity hardly disqualifies one from high office. (The last time I looked, an action hero was still running California.) And in Haiti, where half the population of about 9 million is under age 25, it's an asset as golden as a rapper's chains. Amid Haiti's gray postquake rubble, Jean is far more popular with that young cohort than the country's chronically corrupt and inept mainstream politicians are, and he'll likely galvanize youth participation in the election.

More important, Jean stands to prove that fame can do more than lift voter turnout — or raise millions of dollars for earthquake victims, as his YĆ©le Haiti (Haiti Freedom Cry) foundation has this year. His presidential run, win or lose, could build a long-awaited bridge between Haiti and its diaspora: a legion of expatriates and their progeny, successful in myriad fields, who number more than a million in the U.S. alone. International aid managers agree that Haiti can't recover unless it taps into the education, capital, entrepreneurial drive and love for the mother country that Jean epitomizes — even if his French (one of Haiti's official languages) is poor and his Creole (the other) is rusty. "A lot of Haitians are excited about this," says Marvel Dandin, a popular Port-au-Prince radio broadcaster. "Given the awful situation in Haiti right now," he says, "most people don't care if the President speaks fluent Creole."

Day at the Zoo

Mondays are my days off from both jobs so usually I take advantage of that day to be lazy or run some errands..

But my little brother had been bugging me for the longest to take him to the zoo. He's one of those kids that are into animals and weird bugs haha.

so we get there to the first animal.. and i bust out with "Look its a birdy" and he corrects me with "Actually that's a Roadrunner, they're the only birds with two claws in the front and back"
I'm like, "........okay then"   LMAO.
Roadrunner AKA my college mascot (UTSA)

So the rest of the time he was pretty much schooling me on all the animals and I felt so dumb haha. The majority of the time I was asking "Estevan, what animal is that?" and boy, did he he let me know!!
Bald Eagles are so... majestic lol

 A cool looking bug!

"hey look! its spongebob's pet snail Gary! MEOW!"
IT LOOKED SO FAKE! .....until it moved. -_-
This snake was too cute :)

and LONG!!!!

O.o  <---my reaction

How do the zoo keepers know they won't fly away?

WE GOT SUPER CLOSE =)
i love this picture, it reminds me of bambi, even tho bambi was a deer lol!

I was waiting for a lion to come snatch up one of these.... didn't happen.
So right after we got to see the antelope, it started to rain -_-
omg. so then every interesting exhibit was closing and all the animals were hiding so it was basically pointless being at the zoo. ...And tell me why the zoo is so complicated, we got so lost trying to get out!
Its a good thing my little brother has crazy good memory and he remembered which exhibit we got to first so we got out just in time before it started pouring rain! ....AND its a good thing that my tonka truck is a bright blue color cause I spotted it from afar ^_^ so I didn't have to remember where I parked!

'Twas a great day to spend with my baby bro :)
